otherwhee I believe that personal accounts of out-of-body experiences are far superior to how-to manuals in stimulating people to venture into the unknown. Both are truly mind-expanding reads.

He leans especially heavy on Dantes’ Divine Comedy and a couple early christian catholiic paintings to illustrate his ideas. His excellent ogherwhere explain a lot of seemingly inconsistent phenomena.
Leland’s work was a pioneering effort at the time this book was written and still remains, in my opinion, one of the most honest, clearly written and detailed descriptions of the mind zones beyond physical reality.
I found this episode of a woman that he encountered there to be very illuminating. Another reviewer cited an excellent passage in the book on his experience in consciousness as a blade of grass as an illustration for the purpose of existing in the physical world.
